We are very pleased to welcome our new recruit Bode to the Canada Water Masterplan team. Bode is 18, lives in Canada Water and will be working with us over the summer in the role of Youth Engagement intern. The focus of the internship is to involve more young people in the local area to help shape the Canada Water Masterplan.

He is working with the Soundings team to develop an engagement toolkit to gather young peoples’ views and ideas at a number of summer-events and online, as well as making links with other local organisations. He will report the findings directly to the Masterplan team including the architects and the developer British Land – and help inform the youth engagement strategy.

He is also working with Global Generation, supporting community activities and events that aim to creatively involve young people in the co-creation of public spaces. This includes the ‘Paper Garden’ at the SE16 Printworks.
