In July we held three topic discussion sessions to gather local knowledge and input to understand what can make the streets, spaces and activities in the Canada Water Masterplan feel welcoming for all. During the May exhibitions there was much discussion around ensuring that the Masterplan is inclusive and a place that feels comfortable for everyone. To help inform the next phase of more detailed design, we held three Topic Sessions to ‘dig deeper’ around this topic.

The first session explored ‘What makes a place feel like it’s for me?’ and what could make the future masterplan welcoming for all age groups. The second session included a site visit to King’s Cross to explore heritage buildings and the spaces they create, learning lessons for the Canada Water Masterplan. The third session took place back at the CWM Consultation Hub, and was an opportunity to display information and feedback from the earlier events.

Thank you for joining us to share your ideas – we are currently analysing the feedback from these events and we will share the findings late this summer. Discussions on other areas of interest, such as transport and social infrastructure, will take place in the Autumn.
