Share this post:

Plowman Craven, on behalf of British land, are planning to carry out a survey of existing utilities in Quebec Way, Redriff Road and Surrey Quays Road during the week beginning 17th August 2020. These works are associated with the Canada Water Masterplan.

Works and duration

The survey works will involve lifting and replacing manhole covers and temporarily marking underground service routes on the ground. All works will strictly adhere to Government and industry guidance in relation to COVID-19. Temporary traffic management is required to carry out the works and this has been discussed and agreed with Southwark Council. This includes temporary traffic lights and, where possible, stop/go boards and priority signage to reduce impacts on the travelling public.

Access to roads off Quebec Way, Redriff Road and Surrey Quays Road will be maintained at all times. To ensure the safety of the travelling public, the bus stops located in the areas where work is taking place will be temporarily unavailable. Please re-plan your journey if you intend to travel by bus on these days. Travel information will be displayed on the nearest alternative bus stops. The expected dates and duration for the survey work are shown on the image below.

Working hours and activity

Surveyors from Plowman Craven will be working Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 4pm, as agreed with Southwark Council. This activity is non-intrusive and working noise will be kept to a minimum.

We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused and also thank you for your co-operation during these survey works.
