Musicity combines music, architecture and technology to build a living archive of the sounds of cities across the world and is coming to Canada Water in September. The project brings free events and music to Albion Street and Lower Road, among others. It invites musicians to choose a building and then create a new song inspired by its design. Moses Boyd, an award winning drummer, composer, producer and electronic musician has chosen Canada Water Station. The track will be available to download via the new, free Musicity app on any smartphone at the station.

Musicity in Canada Water is supported by British Land as part of our commitment to local high streets and businesses, a key ambition of the Canada Water Masterplan Legacy Strategy. We hope many local residents will take part to experience the events and support the businesses involved. The free Musicity Live events which celebrate the tracks created are on the following days:

What: Rotherhithe photographic walk exploring the changed industrial landscape and local buildings, led by photographer and filmmaker Anthony Palmer

Where: meet at Canada Water Station
What: a walk around Canada Water and Rotherhithe linking the Musicity Southwark sites, led by placemaker, researcher and urban rambler Dr Cara Courage
