Are you looking to get back in to work, or to take your first step into the workplace? Canada Water Masterplan architects Allies And Morrison are offering two paid work placements for local Southwark residents for two weeks in February and March 2019 in business support services such as HR, Finance, IT and Facilities. These will pay the London Living Wage, and will provide the opportunity to gain valuable experience in key areas across the practice.

The opportunity

  • Is open to any Southwark resident between the ages of 18 and 65 who is currently unemployed or economically inactive, though priority will be given to those who live in Rotherhithe, Surrey Docks, and the wider SE16 area.
  • Will be paid at the London Living Wage, and be based in Bankside, Southwark for the two week placement.
  • Is suited to those who enjoy architecture and the creative world, are inquisitive, and communicate well. Strong software skills, a proficiency in IT, and the ability to learn quickly are also necessary.
  • Will provide experience in Business Support functions such as HR, Finance, IT and Facilities.

This opportunity is being offered through Allies and Morrison’s work on the Canada Water Masterplan, with British Land having launched a Consultant’s Charter last year setting out how our partners can help deliver our key legacy aims for the Masterplan, as well as more immediate benefits to those who live and work in the area.

Allies and Morrison are an architectural design and urban planning practice based in Bankside, Southwark. For more information, please visit www.alliesandmorrison.com
