Job opportunity to join Mace Construction in delivering local employment, skills and community engagement as part of the construction of plot A2
1 Minute Read
Mace construction is recruiting a full-time Community and Skills Manager to work on a number of its new construction projects – including the Canada Water Masterplan. The role will lead on some of Mace’s work with British Land at Canada Water working on Plot A2 – which will see the delivery of a new leisure centre and workspace, and is a fantastic opportunity to be part of delivering the masterplans’ legacy, which we love to see local people apply for.
The successful candidate will help shape how the construction of Plot A2 effectively contributes to the local area, focusing on initiatives around employment and skills activities, community investment and education projects and volunteering programmes. Experience of construction or project management is required, see link the Job Description and how to apply below for further information.
As long-term owners at Canada Water we are committed to ensuring that our work and presence benefits the local community. A huge part of this is ensuring that local people are able to access some of the 1,200 jobs that will be created during construction, including though training and employment programmes and apprenticeships, and to do this we require all of our main contractors to appoint a community and skills lead and set out a plan for delivery.
Applications close on 11 January 2021 and full details can be found here.
