As part of a programme of investigative works to determine ground conditions as part of the Canada Water Masterplan, a number of boreholes and trenches will be dug within the Tesco overflow car park at the southern end of the Surrey Quays Shopping Centre car park from Monday 28 January.

This portion of the car park will be completely closed-off for the initial period to both traffic and pedestrians, and will reopen after March 15^th. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, however, the shopping centre will remain open as usual and there will be no disruption for those using buses or surrounding parts of the car park.

After this, monitoring will take place between 15^th March 2019 and 31^st May 2019. The monitoring will involve one person on the site for a day at a time with some handheld equipment, but the car park will be open during the monitoring.
