Canada Water Topic Discussions – Spaces for People
1 Minute Read
Following the design and planning process discussion sessions we will be holding two workshops to look specifically at emerging ideas and principles for key public spaces in the Canada Water Masterplan – the green link and the high street / town centre. These focused sessions will help inform development of these aspects of the masterplan, which will be shared for community review in the new year.
Spaces for People: The green link
Saturday 28 November 2015
2.30pm-4.30pm
at Surrey Quays Shopping Centre,
Former Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) unit,
1st Floor (by the food court),
SE16 7LL
This session will focus on the green link – using the emerging ideas to test the direction of travel, identify further ideas, opportunities and considerations to help inform the emerging plans. The session includes an on-site walkabout of the accessible parts of the green-link route, to help put it in context.
Spaces for People: The high street & town centre
Wednesday 9 December 2015
6.30pm-8.30pm
at Surrey Quays Shopping Centre,
Former Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) unit,
1st Floor (by the food court),
SE16 7LL
This session will focus on the high street and – ‘town centre’ area of the masterplan, between Surrey Quays and Canada Water Stations. The session includes an on-site evening walkabout to take a ‘virtual tour’ of the high street route and explore the site at different times of the day.
Everyone is welcome, RSVP is not essential but would be useful.
