Trees and landscaping works
The majority of the tree and landscaping works that have been taking place around Surrey Quays Shopping Centre are now complete. An information pack is available here outlining further details.

We expect to carry out canopy reduction (removing and cutting back some branches) on a small number of trees on Surrey Quays Road (adjacent to the Shopping Centre Car Park) and a tree on Lower Road near Courthope House in the coming weeks, as soon as we have permission for the associated temporary footpath closures. A temporary road closure may also be required. The work on these trees is not additional to the works that were previously communicated, and they are marked up on the above information pack.

Future gas main pipe diversion
As posted previously, SGN will be relocating their gas main pipe which is located under the Shopping Centre car park – these works are due to start in April 2019. The new route of the gas main pipe will be down Deal Porters Way within the Shopping Centre site. This diversion will move the gas main pipe away from the sites where buildings A1 and A2 are to be constructed (subject to planning permission). Local gas supplies will not be disrupted during these works and the Shopping Centre will remain open as usual.

We continue to work closely with SGN and their contractor in planning the necessary temporary road diversions on the Shopping Centre site and the temporary closure of sections of the car park which will be closed off in phases. Appropriate diversions will be put in place, and sufficient parking for shoppers will be maintained throughout. There will be no disruption for those using buses, and pedestrian access will be maintained across the car park and around the Dock during the gas pipe works. Further information will be communicated as soon as these details have been confirmed.
