Youth Engagement Ideas Workshop, July 2017
1 Minute Read
British Land is currently involving and investing in young people through a number of initiatives working with Global Generation, Urban Plan UK and the Young Farmer’s Club at Surrey Docks Farm – see here for more information. British Land also carried out a number of previous consultation sessions with groups such as the Bermondsey and Rotherhithe Youth Community Council.
As the future community British Land want to ensure young people are involved in helping to develop the proposals but moreover, want to ensure that engagement with young people brings about real, tangible benefits. British Land believe that working collaboratively with young people and their organisations to inform the youth engagement strategy will help ensure its relevance, success and longevity.
In early July 2017, we held an ‘Ideas Workshop’ with local youth providers and young people to look collaboratively at opportunities for our youth engagement strategy moving forward. It was a great opportunity to be able to share some really interesting and useful ideas about how to best engage with young people. We’re going to be collecting together the feedback from the session and looking ahead to the next steps.
