Urban Exchange at King’s Cross
1 Minute Read
Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday for the Canada Water Masterplan Urban Exchange. The day-trip for young people included a visit to King’s Cross to share what new developments can be like, to explore different streets and spaces for young people to tell us what works, what doesn’t and why, and spark ideas for Canada Water.
Fourteen 11-18 years olds attended, who divided into groups to record their views by taking photos and videos of lessons to learn to make Canada Water a place where young people want to be. Thank you to everyone who attended for getting involved and sharing your brilliant ideas. Congratulations to the winning team – Team Mango!
We also visited UAL Central Saint Martins, where we were given a unique tour of the university and graphic design studios. We had lunch in the Global Generation’s Skip Garden, followed by a workshop, where attendees had the opportunity to discuss their ideas for the Canada Water Masterplan with British Land and the design team.
We are currently analysing the feedback from the event and we will share the findings shortly. We’re also planning further events and will be in touch with more detail soon.
More photos from the event are available to view here or visit the Canada Water Masterplan Facebook account. We will be uploading the videos from the event on our Instagram account shortly.
