British Land acquired the former Rotherhithe Police Station on Lower Road in early 2018 and since then we have been integrating the site into the Canada Water Masterplan. Over the summer there was an illegal occupation of the building which we know concerned some neighbours of the site. Whilst this was resolved quickly and in accordance with the appropriate legal process, we are pleased to inform local residents that the Artists Studio Company will be taking on a temporary lease of the building from December 2018, which will secure the site.

The Artists Studio Company is a registered charity and artists workspace provider. The organisation will offer workspace to artists, as well as holding a number of free public art exhibitions during its occupancy.
