We will soon be carrying out works relating to the Canada Water Masterplan which include archaeological surveys on the Plot K1 site on Roberts Close. Tree maintenance works will also be taking place.

Tree works

On Friday 20th March and Saturday 21st March, work to some trees on Surrey Quays Road and Lower Road will take place including pollarding (removing branches, cutting back a tree to its trunk and stumps) and canopy reduction (removing some branches and cutting back to reduce the overall size of the canopy). The image below provides more details on the location of the works.

Approvals are sought through Southwark Council for the traffic management required, to allow the tree surgeons to operate safely.

Working hours will be between 8am and 6pm on Friday 20th March and between 9am and 2pm on Saturday 21st March 2020. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Archaeological works update

The Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA), on behalf of British Land, were due to carry out archaeological surveys on the Plot K1 site on Roberts Close on Thursday 19th March and Friday 20th March. Due to the current Coronavirus situation, the works have been delayed and will now begin on Wednesday 25th March and complete on Thursday 26th March (subject to government advice). Working hours will be between 8am and 6pm on both days.
